The American Buffalo Silver Round pays tribute to America’s native tribes and the majestic, once endangered buffalo. It is inspired by James Earle Fraser’s 1913 Buffalo Nickel, regarded as among the best designs of any U.S. coin. While the design of these rounds is based on a coin originally issued by the U.S. Mint, these rounds are not legal tender and do not carry a face value. 

Round Highlights:

• Contains 1oz or 31.1g of 999 Fine Silver
• Obverse: Showcases James Earle Fraser’s American Indian profile design, facing the right, along with the lettering “LIBERTY”
• Reverse: Showcases Black Diamond, an American buffalo that lived in Central Park Zoo in the early 20^th century, atop a mound of dirt. Fraser sketched this design in the New York Central Park Zoo.
